Airtel Bangladesh Limited, the fastest growing mobile operator in the country, signed an agreement with Jamuna Bank Limited to provide mobile banking services in Airtel network.
Jamuna Bank Limited has deployed Progoti Systems Limited as their software partner. This mobile banking service will be named “Jamuna Bank Surecash” and Airtel customers will be able to enjoy the service by following a simple registration process. The service will be available under Airtel mCommerce USSD code *400#. Under this agreement Airtel customers can avail cash-in, cash-out, money transfer, utility bill payment, school fee payment, merchant payment and mobile top up services.
Ms. Rubaba Dowla, Chief Service Officer and Head of mCommerce, Airtel Bangladesh Limited, Mr. Shafiqul Alam, Managing Director, Jamuna Bank Limited and Dr. Shahadat Khan, CEO and MD, Pragati systems limited represented their respective organizations during the signing ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony Ms. Rubaba Dowla, Chief Service Officer and Head of mCommerce, Airtel Bangladesh Limited stated “Airtel believes in service first and is striving to bring innovative and exciting products to its customers. With Jamuna Bank Surecash on the Airtel Network more people will become bankable and be encouraged to use Mobile Banking Service, thereby, creating a positive and meaningful impact on the country’s economy.”
