Indian Police rescued a minor Bangladeshi girl who was allegedly forced into flesh trade by a man from West Bengal and his wife. The Police took the man on two days’ police remand whereas, his wife was later sent to judicial custody.
The Gurgaon police arrested the couple on Thursday for allegedly bringing a minor girl from Dhaka to India via West Bengal and then forcing her into flesh trade.
The 15-year-old girl was brought to the city from Dhaka by a West Bengal resident, Safikul Ishlam alias Aakash, promising a better job but on arriving, she was immediately forced into flesh trade by Safikul and his wife Hansi alias Teena, said the city police, as reported by Times Of India.
The girl who was living in rented room in Surya Vihar Colony, on Monday evening found a comforting woman with whom she shared her story. The woman, later, informed the Sector-10 police, that immediately took action and lodged an FIR against accused and her wife under section 372, 373 of IPC after a medical examination of the victim.
Sub-inspector Mohammad Sharif, the investigating officer, as reported by TOI, said, “The accused confessed to the crime. He was working in Dhaka with the victim in the same company. The accused couple were living in rented accommodation in Rajiv Nagar.”
