Bank Asia opened five agent banking booths in Noakhali and Laxmipur districts on Monday and Tuesday (15-16 September, 2014) respectively in a move to financial inclusion of rural people.
Mr. Rumee A Hossain, Chairman of Executive Committee of the Board of Bank Asia inaugurated the booths at Birahimpur Bazar of Senbag, Kashipur Bazar of Sonaimuri, Deleai Bazar and Bansha Bazar of Chatkhil uapzila and Dolta Bazar of Ramgonj upazila.
Mr. M. Irfan Syeed, Director of the Bank, Mr. Md Arfan Ali, Deputy Managing Director (SMR) and Mr. Quazi Mortuza Ali, Vice President & Head of Alternative Delivery Channel (ADC) were, among others, present during opening of the booths.
Bank Asia, pioneer in agent banking in Bangladesh, has been expanding agent banking services all over Bangladesh as a part of financial inclusion of unbanked population.
