Dr. Md. Shafiuddin Chowdhury, former Sponsor Director of Bank Asia expired at United Hospital yesterday (17 February, 2015). He was 80 and suffering from old age complications.
Late Dr. Md. Shafiuddin Chowdhury was Chairman of Soil Science Department of the University of Dhaka. He was also Chairman of Sea Resources Group. He left behind his wife, two sons, one daughter and a host of relatives, friends and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Dr. Md. Shafiuddin Chowdhury was laid to rest at Azimpur Graveyard (Dhaka) after Namaz-e-Zanaja at Azad Mosque, Gulshan, Dhaka. His Qulkwani will be held at his residence at House – 7, Road – 31, Gulshan -1 on Friday (20 February, 2015) after Asr prayer.
