Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation provisionally posted a net profit of about Tk. 195 crore in the fiscal year 2013-2014, said a statement. It was 188.99 crore in the fiscal year 2012-2013. The profit increased by Tk. 5.78 crore.
During the fiscal year, BHBFC had sanctioned Tk. 285.18 crore and disbursed Tk. 388.90 crore with the part of that of the previous year. In the fiscal year 2012-2013 sanctioned and disbursed amount was Tk. 539.25 & 437.49 crore respectively.
In the fiscal year 2013-2014 the recoverable amount was Tk. 538.02 crore among which Tk. 462.96 crore was recovered.
The status of loan recovery has improved significantly. The present rate of classified loan is about 6.50%. In the fiscal year 2012-2013 it was 9.25%.
