BUET Career Carnival presented by ROBI

Robi Axiata Limited, the second largest mobile operator in terms of revenue, is sponsoring the two-day long “BUET Career Carnival” on the Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) campus. The program has been organized to familiarize the students of BUET with employment opportunities at Robi.

BUET+ROBI (11)-1A BUET Career Club Selfie Contest, Programming Contest, and Carnival Canvas Tour has been organized on the opening day. Additionally there will be a “Motivational and Information Sharing Workshop” for BUET freshmen, as well as a workshop on “Research Paper Writing Strategies,” for senior students. The day ends with an interactive session with BUET Alumni and BUET Students.

On the second day, 10 September, Onsite Recruitment and Internship interviews with ROBI will be organized. The final presentation and awards ceremony of the ‘Case Study Competition’, Architectural Design Competition, and the Mobile Apps Competition will also be held..

Professor Jamilur Reza Chowdhury and Mr. Matiul Islam Nowshad, Chief Corporate and People Officer (CCPO) of Robi, was present at the inauguration of the BUET Carnival as chief guest and special guest respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Matiul Islam Nowshad, CCPO of Robi said that “Telecom sector is a technological sector and is constantly changing. BUET is the finest technological University of our country which has best young energetic minds. Robi believes that young energetic talent can help the company grow. The Robi Career Carnival is intended to raise awareness among the students of BUET on the job opportunities available at Robi and also to inform them of the kind of skills that we look for while recruiting. This is continuous process where we will reach other leading Universities of the country as we scout the country for worthy talents to help us transform into a great company.”

Professor Jamilur Reza Choudhury said “This career carnival will certainly make it easy for the BUET students to find their start in their career. Such events disperse all misconceptions about finding a job and help them plan their career. I would like to thank Robi for their support in organizing this event and hope Robi will reach promising universities with this sort of initiative.”
