Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, chief Adviser to the interim government,  said all are equal before the law and there is no chance to create divisions. "Establishing people's democratic rights and human rights is the main goal of this government," he said while visiting Dhakeshwari National Templein here this afternoon on Tuesday. Police today arrested former law minister Anisul Huq and ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's private industry and investment affairs adviser Salman F Rahman in a case filed with the New Market Police Station here. Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Media and Public Relations Division Deputy Commissioner Md Faruque Hossain confirmed the development to BSS. Acting on a tip-off, police arrested them from Sadarghat area of the capital city while they were trying to flee through river route, he said.

Maj Gen Sarwar Farid new NSI chief

Major General Abu Mohammad Sarwar Farid has been appointed as the director general (DG) of National Security Intelligence (NSI).
