Dilip Deodhar, a well-known Nagpur-based RSS researcher, said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) have tried to leave their differences behind, and the fall of the Hasina government in Bangladesh had a huge role to play.
"The Sangh had apprised the BJP leadership of its concerns that a regime change that took place in Bangladesh through street protests could also happen in India. Many of the Opposition leaders had spoken after the Bangladesh results that a similar thing was needed in the country. Bangladesh Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the BIMSTEC Summit in Bangkok, Thailand, on April 4, officials in Dhaka and Delhi confirmed on Wednesday afternoon. "I can tell you that the meeting will take place," a senior official in Dhaka told the media without elaborating further.  Meanwhile, New Delhi also hinted positively about the meeting. "It is expected that they'll meet," a source in New Delhi informed.

Saudi Arabia, home to Islam's holiest sites, announced that the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of the Ramadan fasting period, will begin on Sunday. "The Supreme Court has decided that tomorrow, Sunday, March 30, 2025, is the first day of Eid al-Fitr," the Royal Court said in a statement by the official Saudi Press Agency on X. The timing of Eid al-Fitr is determined by the sighting of the crescent moon, under the Muslim lunar calendar.
