At least 40 people were injured in a clash between protesters and members of the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) in Tangail, Comilla, Faridpur. 2 police officers suspended over Abu Sayed death

Two police officers have been temporarily suspended over the death of Abu Sayed, a student from Begum Rokeya University. The suspended officers are Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Amir Hossain and Constable Sujan Chandra. Amir Hossain was serving at Rangpur Metropolitan Police Lines, while Sujan Chandra was stationed at Tajhat Police Station. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) of Rangpur Metropolitan Police, Abu Maruf Hossain, confirmed the suspensions on Saturday afternoon.
