New Nation unveils digital show ‘Rising Stars’
The New Nation, a prominent English daily newspaper in Bangladesh, announced the launch of 'Rising Stars,' a new digital program designed to highlight and encourage rising talent in a variety of sectors. The program will highlight people who are doing very well in a variety of fields, including science, education, music, culture, business, debate, mooting, and programming.
On Thursday, the Director of The New Nation, Javed Hosein, formally announced the debut of "Rising Stars," the show's new digital series, at Ittefaq Bhaban in the capital.

Protesters refuse to sit, vows to continue movement

Teachers from various universities across Bangladesh, united under the banner of the ‘Anti-Repression Teachers Rally,’ have called for an immediate end to the harassment of students and the practice of "mass arrests." They also demanded the release of detained students.
Expressing their solidarity with ongoing student protests, the University Teachers Network organized a rally at the base of Aparajeyo Bangla on the Dhaka University campus, reports UNB. The rally commenced with a minute of silence in memory of students who lost their lives in the recent quota reform movement. The teachers urged that the incidents of violence and deaths be termed the “July Massacre.”

Provosts of 11 out of 19 halls at Dhaka University have signed letters of commitment to ban student politics. This action follows a heightened movement by students advocating for quota reform.
