ICAB new body formed for 2014
The Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) has elected Showkat Hossain FCA as its President and Kamrul Abedin FCA, Nasim Anwar FCA and Dewan Nurul Islam FCA as the Vice Presidents of the Institute for the year 2014.
The new office bearers have been elected by the ICAB Council Members shortly before holding its 41st annual general meeting held at the ICAB auditorium in the city on Saturday. ICAB outgoing President Md. Abdus Salam FCA chaired the council meeting and the annual general meeting 2013.

Honda starts selling motorcycles in Bangladesh
Bangladesh Honda Private Ltd (BHL), Honda's (NYSE: HMC) motorcycle business joint venture in Bangladesh, has begun sales of Honda motorcycle products in Bangladesh. Prior to the start of sales, BHL began local production of the CD80 in this October.

Hwa Well Textiles gets IPO approval
The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has given approval to Hwa Well Textiles to raise Tk 200 milion through an Initial public offering (IPO).
Through the IPO, to be managed by Alfa Capital Management and Citizen Securities and Investment, the textiles company will float 2 million ordinary shares worth Tk 10 each.
