Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd (SJIBL) opened its 91st branch at Pahartoli in Chittagong on Thursday. Bank’s Vice Chairman Syed Nurul Arefeen formally inaugurated the branch as chief guest while its Managing Director Farman R Chowdhury presided over the inaugural ceremony.
Among others Additional Managing Director of the bank Masihul Huq Chowdhury and Deputy Managing Director Md. Abdul Jabber Chowdhury were present on the occasion.
Syed Nurul Arefeen said the banking sector is playing a significant role for the overall economic growth of the country. Shahjalal Islami Bank achieved client’s credibility due to contemporary and modern technology based sincere services.
The bank will increase its branches subsequently in the port city Chittagong to fulfill clients demand. He also said Shahjalal bank intends to more invest in pahartoli area for the economic and business development.
Managing Director Farman R Chowdhury discussed elaborately about the Bank’s deposit and investment schemes. The bank is committed to bring back all classes of people under banking services of the society.
The opening ceremony included reciting from the Holy Quran, Milad Mahfil and Doa held at the branch premises.
