To probe atrocities UN team due next week
The United Nations (UN) is sending a fact finding team here next week to probe atrocities committed in Bangladesh during the Student Revolution in July and early this week, said an official release of the chief adviser's press wing.

UN to begin probe into killings of protesters
UN Human Rights Chief Volker Türk has informed Bangladesh's interim government Chief Adviser, Professor Muhammad Yunus, that the UN will soon launch an investigation into the killings of protesters during the recent "student revolution."

Hasina to face charges of genocide, crimes against humanity
A complaint against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been filed with the investigation agency of the International Criminal Tribunal (ICT) on charges of genocide and crimes against humanity.
Supreme Court lawyer Gazi MH Tamim made the application today on behalf of Md Bulbul Kabir, father of Arif Ahmed Siam, a student who succumbed to his injuries two days later, after being shot by police during the anti-discrimination student movement in Savar on August 5.

15-point non-cooperation movement announced
The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement came up with a set of points for people to make the non-cooperation movement successful on Satyrday. They earlier announced a single-point demand -- resignation of the prime minister -- at a mammoth rally at the Central Shaheed Minar.
