Third ‘border haat’ along India-Bangladesh frontier opens
Tripura’s first “border haat” - the third such market along India’s frontier with Bangladesh - was inaugurated here Tuesday to boost trade of local produce of both the nations.
Union Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and her Bangladeshi counterpart Tofail Ahmed jointly inaugurated the “border haat” here, about 140 km south of Tripura capital Agartala.

A US judge on Tuesday rejected a request by a Bangladesh diplomat and his wife to dismiss a lawsuit by a former domestic worker who accused them of forcing him to work without pay in slavery-like conditions.

ECNEC approves 177 development projects
The Executive Committee of the Bangladesh National Economic Council (ECNEC) has approved a total of 177 development projects with the outlay of Tk 1,23,404.52 crore in the first year of the current tenure of the AL-led grand alliance government, reports BSS.
