India keen to develop Payra seaport

India has evinced keen interest to invest for developing the Payra seaport in Bangladesh in a move to further strengthen the existing ties between the two neighboring countries. Workshop on urban poverty reduction held in city

A regional exchange workshop was organized at the very end of the Urban Partnerships for Poverty Reduction (UPPR) learning and good practices documentation process. It aimed to establish a dialogue among the community members, a selection of national and international experts, the consultant team leading the documentation, and UNDP. The workshop was organized at Bangabandhu International Convention Centre (BICC), Dhaka during March 20-21, 2016. BD rejects P10m return from hacked money

The Bangladesh Ambassador to the Philippines rejected an offer of a remittance company to return P10 million from its profits as an apology over the hacked $81 million. Advance ruling system workshop held in city

A WCO Revenue Package national workshop on the development of an Advance Ruling System for classification, funded by CCF China, was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from 28 February to 2 March 2016, at the National Board of Revenue. The workshop was officially opened by the Chairman of the National Board of Revenue and Secretary of Internal Resources of the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Md. Nojibur Rahman. Fourteen Customs officers participated in the workshop, which was facilitated by a Technical Officer from the WCO Secretariat, a WCO accredited expert from China and an external expert.
