BD, India resort to onion imports as supply dips

Onion prices in Bangladesh have nearly doubled in the past month due to a shortage in top supplier India, forcing the neighbours to turn to imports from countries such as Egypt, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Russian copters with Russian credit

Russia would supply six Mil Mi-171Sh military and transport helicopters and one Mi-171E rotocraft to Bangladesh. The supply is a part of an agreement signed in April 2015, Russia’s Tass news agency reported. Govt to approve proposal for new road to Myanmar

Bangladesh’s economic policy-making body is all set to approve a proposal for constructing a new road to Myanmar, aimed at boosting bilateral trade, an official said Monday.
