The Indian prime ministerial candidate of BJP, Narendra Modi said Hindu migrants from Bangladesh must be accommodated in the country and detention camps would be done away with once his party comes to power.
“As soon as we come to power at the Centre, detention camps housing Hindu migrants from Bangladesh will be done away with,” Mr Modi told a public rally at Ramnagar in Assam on Saturday.
“We have a responsibility toward Hindus who are harassed and suffer in other countries. Where will they go? India is the only place for them. Our government cannot continue to harass them. We will have to accommodate them here,” he said.

1,01,000 to perform hajj this year
A total of 1,01,000 people will perform hajj from Bangladesh this year.
Of them, 10,000 pilgrims will perform hajj under government management while the rest under private management, Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) president Md Ibrahim Bahar informed this at a press briefing at the National Press Club on Saturday.
He said an agreement was signed in this regard with the Saudi government in Saudi Arabia on February 16.

DC-10 returning to Dhaka
The last passenger DC-10 aircraft will return to Dhaka instead of flying into Boeing museum just yet.
The 30-year old aircraft, part of the fleet of Biman Bangladesh Airline, was to find its final resting place at the museum of Boeing in Seattle, US.
