At least 88 including 14 policemen have died as violent protests erupted across the country on Sunday.
In day-long clashes, 22 people died in Sirajganj district alone including 13 policemen. The cops were killed inside Enayetpur police station in the district.
Feni and Lakshmipur each saw eight deaths while six Awami League leaders were lynched in Narsingdi.
Five died in Bogura, four each died in Dhaka, Kishoreganj, Magura, Sylhet and Rangpur.
Munshiganj, Bhola, Pabna and Cumilla saw three deaths each while Sherpur saw two deaths. Joypurhat, Habiganj, Dhaka’s Keraniganj, Savar and Barishal saw one death each.
