The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) has published the list of 10 worst liveable cities in the world with Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, in the second top of the chart.
The EIU’s “liveability” study looks at how “tolerable” a city is to live in given its crime levels, threat of conflict, quality of medical care, levels of censorship, temperature, schools and transport links.
According to the latest chart, Dhaka is followed by Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea; Lagos, Nigeria; Harare, Zimbabwe; Algiers, Algeria; Karachi, Pakistan; Tripoli, Libya; Douala, Cameroon; Tehran, Iran; and Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
The Bangladeshi capital was also named the worst liveable city in the world last year.
In the last year’s report, Dhaka was ranked low for healthcare and infrastructure, but its stability was relatively higher.
