DUJSAA holds grand iftar mahfil at DU

Dhaka University Japansese Studies Alumni Association (DUJSAA) arranged a grand iftar and dua mahfil with 100 members at Dhaka University’s Social Science Faculty premises in the capital on Saturday.

Chairman of the Department of Japansese Studies of the University of Dhaka Dr. Abdullah-Al -Mamun was chair the program and the president of JUAAB Professor Dr. M.A.M Yahia Khandoker was present as chief guest. The Country Representative of JETRO Mr. Yuji Ando, Former Secretary General of JBCCI & trustee of Kazuko Bhuiyan Foundation Mr.Tareq Rafi Bhuiyan, the Country Director of Shapla Neer Ms.Tomoko Uchiyama, the Principal of Kokorozashi & Kazuko Bhuiyan Japanese Cultural Center Mr. Okabayashi Kuniaki and Mr.Yuya Usuki Manger JETRO Dhaka were present as guests of honor to enhance the beauty of the programme, reports The New Nation.

All the speakers express their views on Japan Bangladesh multi diversified relationship and the emerging economic condition of Bangladesh. They also said that the department of Japanese studies as well as the alumni association DUJSAA is working as pioneers in the country to create a skilled & educated young generation to work for the future in joint collaboration with Japan.

Professor Shiblee Noman of the department declared the new executive committee of DUJSAA for 2023-2025 with the leadership of Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun as President and K.M. Foisal Abdullah as Secretary General. The Facebook page and a LinkedIn page also were inaugurated on this occasion. The program was conducted by the treasurer Md. Rifat Amin, Joint Secretary Chandra Shakhar Ghosh, Social & Welfare Secretary Sayed Amim (Sameer), Tour Secretary Imranul Alam.
