To honour and support Dhaka’s bike-riding community, ELF Lubricants, the French performance lubricant brand from TotalEnergies, recently hosted a community wellbeing ride for the city’s motor enthusiasts.
The event, titled ELF Morning Ride, began at the Japan Parts showroom in Tejgaon and concluded at the Kanchon Bridge area of 300 feet, bringing together Pathao riders, community riders, media professionals, ELF customers, fans, and other stakeholders.
Ride-sharing platform Pathao collaborated with ELF to organise the event, while healthcare partner Aroggo provided on-site medical support. The event is a gesture of appreciation towards those who keep Dhaka city moving every day, while also highlighting the importance of their safety and overall well-being.
Under the initiative, ELF also provided free health check-ups, comprised of five basic medical tests, for 100 Pathao riders in collaboration with healthcare provider Aroggo. The initiative is to help riders who usually don’t receive regular preventive medical care because of limited access.
Speaking about the event, Dewan Shajedur Rahman, Managing Director of ELF Bangladesh, said, “Today’s ELF Morning Ride is our way of recognising the backbone of our city — the bike riders. This initiative is about their health, safety, and livelihood: we are proud to sponsor free health screenings for Pathao riders and to stand with those who keep Dhaka moving every day. It’s more than an event — it’s part of the ELF lifestyle.”
At the event, riders from across the city shared their journeys, chatted about health, and engaged spontaneously as a community. For ELF, this program extends its global philosophy that performance is not only about engines but also about those who ride them.
“Celebrating community and care are the themes of this ride. Through sponsoring a friendly ride and offering free health checks, ELF shares its passion with the streets of Dhaka. It empowers riders, appreciates their efforts, and promotes safer, healthier riding. This is ELF lifestyle,” said ELF Bangladesh Director Kosuke Yoshida.
Terry Hayashi, Commercial Sales Director, TotalEnergies Bangladesh, also took part in the ride and interacted with the participants as a special guest of the event.
With over 136 Formula 1 wins to its name and partnerships with Alpine Renault, CF Motors, and Royal Enfield, ELF brings its global-level experience to the Bangladesh market.
The brand invests nearly USD 1 billion every year in research and development to create high-performance lubricants suitable for local roads and weather conditions where it operates, including Bangladesh. Through social initiatives like ELF Morning Ride, the brand continues to combine technical excellence with social responsibility. It endeavours to instil a culture of safety, health, and shared passion in Bangladeshi riders.
