The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Water resources ministry has donated total 9.24m Taka to the Chief Adviser’s Relief Fund in order to help the flood affected victims in the country.
The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change donates 4.64m taka and Water resources ministry donates 4.6m taka in order to held flood victims people.
The amounts were collected from one day’s salary of the officers and employees of the ministries and their subordinate departments, said a press release of the environment ministry, reports BSS.
Out of the Taka 46.64 donated by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, the Secretariat has contributed Taka 1,11,880, while the Forest Department Taka 3.5 million, the Department of Environment Taka 3,35,45, the Bangladesh Forest Industries Development Corporation Taka 3,15,301, the Bangladesh Forest Research Institute Taka 3,03,122, the Bangladesh National Herbarium Taka 40,471, the Bangladesh Rubber Board 20,590 and the Bangladesh Climate Change Trust Fund Taka 37652.
Besides, out of the 46.6 lakh donated by the Ministry of Water Resources, the Secretariat office has contributed taka 1,04,050, while Bangladesh Water Development Board Taka 4.3 million, the Water Resources Planning Organization Taka 67 715, the Haor and Wetland Development Directorate Taka 22 200, the River Research Institute Taka 145,000 and the Joint Rivers Commission Taka 21 276.
