Foreign friends congratulates Bangladesh Independence Day

President of Liberia Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of congratulations to the Government and People of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh on the occasion commemorating the 44th Independence Anniversary of that country, March 26.

pm-narendra-modi_650x400_51424803339In Her message to her Bangladeshi counterpart, President Abdul Hamid, President Sirleaf extended sincere felicitations to the Government and People of Bangladesh on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia and in her own name.

She prayed that the Almighty Allah continues to endow President Hamid with abundant wisdom and strength to lead his compatriots to greater prosperity.

According to a Foreign Ministry’s release, President Sirleaf then expressed the hope that the two countries would work together to strengthen their ties of friendship and cooperation.

Besides Indian President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the people of Bangladesh on their 44th Independence Day. President Mukherjee, in his message to his Bangladeshi counterpart Abdul Hamid, expressed his confidence in the expanding cooperation between New Delhi and Dhaka.

“On behalf of the Government and the people of India and on my own behalf, I am pleased to convey to you and to the people of Bangladesh our warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your National Day,” President Mukherjee’s message read.

“I recall with great pleasure our meeting during your visit to India in December 2014. I am confident that the relationship between our two countries would continue to grow and expand to include new areas of cooperation in a mutually beneficial manner,” the message added.

Kuwait Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent on Thursday a congratulatory cable to the President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Muhammed Abdul Hamid on his country’s national day.
In the cable, His Highness the Amir wished the leader good health and his nation more prosperity and development.
The Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah also sent similar cables.
