A team of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) headed by its President Showkat Hossain FCA left Dhaka to participate in ICAEW sponsored Chartered Accountants Worldwide (CAW) Summit, World Congress of Accountants (WCOA) Conference, IFAC, CAPA and World Bank’s events in Rome, Italy from 6 to 13 November 2014.
ICAB on 8 November will sign renewal of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) to strengthening existing bilateral relationship between the Institutes on 8 November and will participate in ICAEW Summit on Strengthening National PAOS on 10 November 2014.
Other members of the team are ICAB Member Council and Past Presidents, Md. Humayun Kabir FCA, Anwaruddin Chowdhury FCA, Md. Syful Islam FCA, Akhtar Sohel Kasem FCA, Md Abdus Salam FCA, Vice President Dewan Nurul Islam FCA, Council Member Muhammad Farooq FCA and Director (Technical) Mahbub Ahmed Siddique FCA.
At the day-long CAW summit on 6 November 2014, the participants will discuss about opportunities and challenges of Chartered Accountants, development of the chartered accountancy brand: experiences and challenges, and Chartered Accountants worldwide – the global opportunity.
On 7 November Mr. Showkat Hossain and Mr. Humayun Kabir will participate in meeting of International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) Council at Westin Excelsior Hotel in Rome.
The delegates will also participate in CAPA PAODC meeting and PSFM Committee meeting, CAPA Board meeting, AGM , Director only Board meeting, World Bank event and hold a meeting with ACCA Chief Executive during their visit in Italy. They will return home on 15 November 2014.
