Iris Corporation Bhd and its partner Grand Technology Resources & Computer Source Ltd have secured a US$10.40mil(RM33.52mil) contract from the Bangladeshi government to provide machine readable passport (MRP) enrolment data and related services.
It said on Monday the 18-month contract was to distribute these passports among its Bangladeshi citizens at sites in United Arab Emirates.
Iris said the total number of applicants was about 800,000 passports at US$13 (RM41.90) per piece.
“The implementation of this contract agreement will be funded by internally generated funds and bank borrowings,” it said.
