Islami Bank Officer Kollyan Samity (IBOKS) organised a reception for the meritorious wards of all the bank executives, officials & employees. Md. Omar Faruk Khan, managing director (current charge) of the bank, was present in the program as the chief guest on 14 April 2025, Monday at the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh Auditorium in Dhaka.
A.K.M. Mahbub Morshed, president of the IBOKS, presided over the program while K.M. Munirul Alam Al-Mamoon & Md. Maksudur Rahman, deputy managing director of the bank, was present at the program as a special guest.
ASM Rezaul Karim, general secretary, addressed the welcome speech & Abul Laise Mohd. Khaled, vice president of the IBOKS, thanked the audience. Imtiaz Ahmed Himel, Adiba Afnan, Farzana Sultana Zeba & Hasnatul Islam Faiyaz expressed feelings on behalf of the award recipients.
Bashir Ahamed, senior executive vice president, Md. Manirul Islam & Md. Maznuzzaman, the executive vice president, along with different branch incumbents, head office executives, officials and scholarship recipient GPA-5 holder students of SSC/HSC and equivalent examination and their parents attended the program.
In his speech as the chief guest, Md. Omar Faruk Khan said today’s students will lead the nation in the future, therefore, they need to set specific goals now and prepare themselves to become capable citizens. He highlighted that for self-development, one must lead a disciplined life and show respect and honour to parents and teachers, utilising their advice to move forward. He noted that students should be enriched with knowledge of technology and find ways to utilise it for the welfare of society. He urged the students to learn about Islamic banking and spread it to the masses.
