Dr. Mohammad Johurul Islam, a distinguished legal educator, founder of Rabindra Maitree University, along with his daughter Torosa Johur and son-in-law Parvej Ahmed, both PhD students at the University of North Dakota (UND), jointly presented three groundbreaking research papers focusing on technology integration and innovation in legal education.
Dr. Islam presented two papers as the first author: A Survey of Law Students’ Classroom Experiences on Multimedia-Based Visual Instructions: A Case of Bangladesh & Faculty Efficacy and Technology Integration in Legal Education in Bangladesh.
Parvej Ahmed presented the paper Honing Law Students’ Legal Drafting Competency with an AI Personal Trainer: Does It Work?, which explored the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing law students’ drafting and writing abilities. Torosa Johur co-presented discussions on digital accessibility and inclusive technology use in higher education.
Their participation was made possible through travel grants from the College of Education and Human Development and the School of Graduate Studies at the University of North Dakota.
Dr. Tonia A. Dousay, Dean of the School of Education at the University of Alaska Anchorage and President of the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT), lauded the contribution of Johur’s family, calling it “a landmark moment in AECT’s journey that highlights Bangladesh’s growing leadership in educational innovation and technology integration.”
This participation marks a significant milestone, showcasing Bangladesh’s rising academic influence in the global arena of educational research and innovation.
