Agartala Check Post to be inaugurated on Nov 17

The inauguration of the Integrated Check Post at Agartala along the Akhaura-Agartala part of the India-Bangladesh border will take place on November 17, an official release of the High Commission of India said here today. Sushil Kumar Shinde, Home Minister of India, Dr. Muhiuddin Khan Alamgir, Home Minister of Bangladesh, Shajahan Khan, Shipping Minister of Bangladesh and Manik Sarkar, Chief Minister of Tripura will jointly inaugurate the integrated check post (ICP). Speakers at a sewing machine distribution ceremony have stressed for enhanced participation of the womenfolk in economic activities for income generation to ensure women development and empowerment. They were addressing the ceremony arranged for distribution of 25 sewing machines free of costs among 25 unemployed and distressed women by Goddimari union parishad at its hall room under Hatibandha upazila in Lalmonirhat on Tuesday afternoon.
