Nicolas Cages and his ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton's x-rated photos were reportedly stolen from the his home earlier this year and the snapshots are still missing. REHAB fears siphoning off money

The Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) fears that huge money might be siphoned off abroad following a foreign company's call through recent newspaper advertisements to buy apartments in Dubai, reports UNB. Such an illegal campaign will only encourage siphoning off money abroad at a time when the country's housing sector is in bad shape it' s an ominous sign for the country's real estate sector, the apex body of the real estate sector said in a statement. BGMEA director loses cool at meeting on minimum wage

Commerce Secretary and Labour Secretary on Wednesday came under fire when a BGMEA director came down heavily on the government for what she says the government is only focusing on the RMG sector for wage hike. Though the surprised secretaries – Mahbub Ahmed and Mikail Shipar – tried to correct her notion, BGMEA director Vidiya Amrit Khan kept on arguing with her point with support from her some fellow owners, reports UNB. Amrit Khan, also Managing Director of Desh Garments Ltd, raised her finger at both the secretaries and wanted to know why the government should fix the wages for the RMG workers and argued that it should be fixed by the owners. “You (govt) are only focusing on us.”

Experts urge media to focus more on raising TB awareness

Experts at a meeting on Wednesday called on the media to play more effective role in raising awareness about tuberculosis.

The media’s role is vital in disseminating information on TB treatment management and related innovations, depicting the inconsistencies if they occur at any level of the disease management and suggesting improvements, the experts said at an orientation programme for journalists on the National Tuberculosis Control Programme.

The National TB Control Programme (NTP) under the Directorate General of Health, Bangladesh Health Reporters’ Forum (BHRF), and leading non-governmental organization BRAC arranged the event at the BRAC Centre in the capital, reports UNB.
