The American Soybean Association (ASA) welcomes today’s announcement that leading Bangladeshi agribusiness companies have signed letters of intent to significantly increase purchases of U.S. soybeans and soybean meal over the next 12 months.

Army hopes to normalise law & order if election held

Bangladesh Army today said the law and order situation will return to normalcy if the planned national election in February is held, paving the way for their return to barracks.

“Like the country’s people, the Bangladesh Army is expecting a free, fair, impartial and festive election as per the government outline,” Army Training and Doctrine Command’s (ARTDOC) general officer commanding Lieutenant General Md Mainur Rahman told a media briefing at Dhaka Cantonment.
