The Captain of Bangladesh Test Cricket Team became the 1st ever Brand Ambassador for the tech giant Samsung. The Test Cricket Team Captain Mr. Mushfiqur Rahim will now endorse the products of Samsung in Bangladesh. Mushfiqur is the first ever Bangladeshi celebrity/personality to endorse the global tech giant. Samsung Electronics Bangladesh officially announced Mushfiqur’s association with the brand today at a grand ceremony in Dhaka.
From now on, the Bangladeshi test team captain will promote Samsung mobile, consumer electronics and IT products. Mr. Choon Soo Moon, Country Manager, Young Woo Lee, General Manager, Mr. Hasan Mehdi, Head of Mobile and Mr. Badrul Karim, Head of Consumer Electronics and IT of Samsung Bangladesh were present in the announcement ceremony.
Mr. Choon Soo Moon, the Country Manager of Samsung Bangladesh said on this occasion, “Sports is a passion point for people, and in Bangladesh, nothing ignites the passion better than Cricket. Samsung’s association with cricket now begins with the welcoming of Mushfiqur Rahim to the Samsung family as the Brand Ambassador. We hope our journey with Mushfiqur will be amazing and his image as “Mr. Dependable” will add positive value to Samsung’s brand image.”
Speaking on the occasion of the announcement ceremony, Mushfiqur Rahim said, “I am very proud to be associated with a global brand like Samsung that is not only recognized for its technological leadership, but also its commitment to global sporting events. Samsung products represent the best in technology, design and quality and I am indeed delighted to be endorsing the best.”
Mushfiqur Rahim has started his cricket career at the age of 16 in 2005 against England. He is the first Bangladeshi cricketer to score a double century. Starting as a wicketkeeper batsman, Mushfiqur became the National Cricket Team Captain in 2011. Though he is no longer the skipper for the ODI team, he is still the Captain of the Test team. Since the beginning of his career due to his consistent performance he is mostly known as “Mr. Dependable” among his fans. Samsung Bangladesh hopes the clean image of Mushfiqur Rahim and his dynamic performance will be a positive addition to their Brand image.
