Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited handed over prize to the clients of the bank for winning remittance lottery of Money Gram at a function at Islami Bank Tower on June 10, 2014. Md. Mahbub-ul-Alam, Deputy Managing Director and Head of International Banking Wing along with other executives and officials was present on the occasion.
Nazma Begum, a customer of Chawak Mogultuly Branch and Md. Shahinur Alam of Mirpur Branch of the Bank received LED TVs as the lottery winners. Money Gram, a global remittance service provider, offered the prize for customers on the occasion of a special promotional campaign during the period of ICC T-20 World Cup 2014. Out of fifty prizes, IBBL customers won 13 prizes.
Mohammad Abdul Mannan as chief guest said, Islami Bank has been offering specialized remittance services to expatriate Bangladeshis and their beneficiaries since it inception. The Bank is playing pioneering role in bringing hard income remittance of expatriate Bangladeshis through Banking channel and discouraging Hundi. He said that Bangladesh is going to become a middle income country depending on foreign remittance and garments industries. He said, only Islami Bank is handling 27 per cent of remittance of the country. Not merely maximization in profit, Islami Bank has been working for the welfare of people and for this reason customer satisfaction of the Banks is being enhancing day by day resulting in turning the Bank in the top position among other banks in the country.
