Robi initiates Wi-Fi zone in Dhaka College

Robi has inaugurated Wi-Fi zone in the country’s premiere educational institution Dhaka College. The leading operator is offering Wi-Fi facilities in Dhaka College for providing the most affordable and convenient services to its students and the faculties. Robi Wi-Fi zone covers teachers’ lounge, lobby, computer lab, canteen, playground and on canteen to the Hall road area of the college.

Inauguration of Wi-Fi zone in Dhaka College marks the beginning of Robi’s pioneering role in IMG-20150702-WA0002facilitating reliable high speed internet in the leading colleges of the country. Robi is the only operator to provide the Wi-Fi services in Dhaka College premises. Robi has also provided end to end automation software in Dhaka College. Besides, it is providing a very relevant and lucrative tariff plan specially designed for the students.

Hon’ble Minister for Education, Nurul Islam Nahid, MP inaugurated the Robi Wi-Fi zone at Dhaka College as the Chief Guest. State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP and Nazrul Islam Khan, Secretary, Ministry of Education were also present at the inauguration ceremony as Special Guests. Dhaka College’s Principal Professor Tuhin Afroza Alam and its Vice-Principal Professor Md. Muazzam Hossain Mollah were also present at the event. On behalf of Robi, its Chief Operating Officer (COO) Mahtab Uddin Ahmed was present on the occasion.

All the teachers of the college have already been served with Robi SIMs. Furthermore, all of the 1,150 HSC first year students will be given Robi SIMs matching with their class roll numbers. Gradually, other students of the college will also be given Robi SIM cards. This will eventually pave the way for all of them to access Robi Wi-Fi facility.

As a promotional offer, all Robi customers will be able to enjoy Robi Wi-Fi services for free of cost. During promotional period, each subscriber will be able to enjoy 500MB internet daily @ 2mbps speed. However, one needs to use Robi number to access the Robi Wi-Fi services.
