Robi Axiata Limited launched an Ramadan campaign today with a difference that is sure to make Eid a little bit special for all its subscribers.
The campaign with the tag line “This eid, who will you make smile?” is a natural extension of Robi’s “Smile” campaign to now put the smile on the faces of underprivileged children. Under the terms of the campaign, Robi subscribers will be asked to recharge BDT 28 or BDT 58 to their account and automatically contribute towards the purchase of new clothes for underprivileged children in the country.
Robi subscribers, however, will be credited the full amount of their recharge to their account and will also enjoy additional usage bonuses and free offers during the duration of the campaign, amounting to 800%++ of their total recharge.
Speaking at the launch of the campaign, Robi Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Mahtab Uddin Ahmed explained that Ramadan is not only a month of abstinence but also time for celebration and caring, “while we all want to do something for people who are less fortunate than us, particularly underprivileged children, the opportunity may not always materialize or we don’t know how. This will be a chance for our subscribers to play a role in a noble cause and bring a smile to the face of an underprivileged child.”
“The objective of the entire campaign to not only to reach out to the underprivileged children and put a smile on their faces but in the process change people’s mindset by creating an opportunity to make this Eid happy for as many people as possible,” he added.
Against every BDT 58 recharge, Robi will donate a portion of its profit to this fund and is committed to donating at least 25,000 new dresses to under privileged children of the country this Eid.
