Robi offers 48-hour free calls to and from Nepal

In the wake of the devastating earthquake in Nepal, the leading telecom operator Robi announced free calls and text messages to Nepal from its network for 48 hours. It was effective from 0800am on 28 April 2015.

1Calling and texting to and from Nepal without charges will be applied to all post-paid and pre-paid customers of Robi with international calling.

 This initiative is designed to help Robi customers check on their friends and relatives who might have been affected by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal on 25 April.

 Robi’s Chief Corporate and People Officer Matiul Islam Nowshad said: “As a small gesture during this hour of crisis, Robi has decided to offer free calls and text messages to Nepal. This would enable our subscribers across the country to get in touch with their families and friends in Nepal.”
