Banks and Financial Institutions of Finance Ministry has recently appointed Shaikh Aminuddin Ahmed, a reputed banker of the country as the Chairman to the Board of Directors of Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation (BHBFC). Mr. Ahmed has resumed his responsibilities on 11th instant.
Mr. Ahmed started his banking career after completing Masters in Economics in 1966. He rendered his services for 43 years in banking sector. As a banker he worked in the State Bank of Pakistan, Dhaka; Janata Bank Ltd., Sonali Bank Ltd., Bangladesh Commerce Bank Ltd. and Uttara Bank Ltd.
He served as a General Manager of Janata Bank Ltd. & Sonali Bank Ltd. Mr. Ahmed gets retirement after serving as Managing Director of Bangladesh Commerce Bank Ltd. Later he worked as a consultant for seven years in Uttara Bank Ltd. Mr. Ahmed played important role as a Faculty Member in Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management, as an examiner of Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh. He is a life time member of Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh.
Mr. Ahmed attended a number of training course programs related to banking and financial management both at home and abroad. He traveled different countries like India, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Soudi Arabia wile completing those trainings.
