Shahjalal Islami Banks Ltd (SJIBL)’s Banani Branch relocated at Ataturk Tower, 22 Kamal Ataturk Avenue, Banani, Dhaka on 8th February 2015. To provide better services for the Clients, the Branch shifted at new Place extendedly.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank and Former President of FBCCI Mr. A. K. Azad formally inaugurated the relocated branch as Chief Guest. Banani Branch started its operation on 8th August 2006. At present the total Deposit of this Branch stands on Tk. 260.00 Crore as well as Investment Tk. 350.00 Crore.
At the opening ceremony of the relocated branch, the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors Alhaj Mohammad Younus, Directors Alhaj Engineer Md. Towhidur Rahman, Alhaj Md. Sanaullah Shahid, Alhaj Khandoker Sakib Ahmed, Managing Director Mr. Farman R Chowdhury, Additional Managing Director Mr. Masihul Huq Chowdhury and Deputy Managing Director Mr. Md. Setaur Rahman, Clients, Well-wishers were present among others.
In his speech, Mr. A. K. Azad said, recession is found in all sphere of business arena due to prevailing political unrest. Its impact is also found in banking sector. If this situation exists for long time the country will lag behind economically. To create new entrepreneurs, the bank offer minimum profit rate for investment to its Clients he added. On the other hand the bank has already taken numerous policies to improve its clients’ services.
Managing Director Farman R Chowdhury said as per demand of Clients the Branch has shifted in new premises as extension to ensure better services to its’ Clients.
The opening ceremony included reciting from the Holy Quran, Milad Mahfil and Doa was held at the branch premises.
