As a part of the CSR activities of the Bank, Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) recently distributed 100 Pcs. Of
Paddle Sewing Machines with motor set among the helpless and distressed women in Kalapara and
Rangabali Upazilas of Patuakhali district and financial assistance has been provided to 48 people of various
professions for their self-employment who were affected by different natural calamities.
Shahjalal Islami Bank Foundation has provided this financial assistance to distressed people. The Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. and Chairman of Risk Management Committee Engineer Md. Towhidur Rahman
distributed the Sewing Machines including motor sets amon
g the helpless and distressed women and
donated Cheques to the low-income people of different professions.
The Member of Parliament of Patuakhali-4 Mr Md. Mohibbur Rahman, Muhib was present as a special guest on the occasion. In this regard, the function has been arranged on Alhajj Jalal Uddin Degree College premises and another function arranged in Kalapara. As donation total Tk. 24 (twenty-four) lac has been provided to the destitute people including a Lillah Boarding.

Mostafizur Rahman, the Principal of Alhajj Jalal Uddin Degree College Mrs Fatema Akter Rekha, the
Branch Manager of Khepupara Branch of the Bank Mr Md. Tariqul Islam Hiron, the local prominent
businessman Mr Mushfiqur Rahman and other local prominent people were also present on the occasion.
