Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd (SJIBL) opened its 90th branch at Elephant Road in the capital on Tuesday. Director of the bank Mohammad Hasan formally inaugurated the branch as chief guest. Farman R Chowdhury, managing director of the bank presided over the inaugural ceremony.
Among others, vice chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank Syed Nurul Arefeen and additional managing director Masihul Huq Chowdhury spoke on the occasion.
In his speech, Mohammad Hasan said Shahjalal Islami Bank is providing better services to its clients through technology based services. Therefore, the clients and branches of the bank are increasing subsequently.
Managing director Farman R Chowdhury discussed elaborately about the bank’s deposit and investment schemes. At present this bank earned a stable position in banking sector through transparency and good governance, he added.
The opening ceremony included reciting from the Holy Quran, Milad Mahfil and Doa were held at the branch premises.
