Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIB) has recently organized a daylong workshop on “Islamic Banking & Finance” for its high executives/managers in joint collaboration with Central Shariah Board for Islamic Banks of Bangladesh (CSBIB) at Shahjalal Islami Bank Training Academy, Dilkusha C/A, Dhaka.
Mr. M. Azizul Huq, chairman of the executive committee of Central Shariah Baord and member of Shariah Supervisory Committee of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited inaugurated the Training as Chief Guest. The Speakers discussed elaborately on Superiority of Islamic Banking System, Maqasid Al-Shariah, Salient Features of the Investment Modes of Islamic Banking etc. Mr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Director General of Islamic Bank Training and Research Academy (IBTRA) and Mr. M. Farid Uddin Ahmad, Advisor, EXIM Bank responded to the various Islamic Banking related questions of the participants. Mr. Masihul Huq Chowdhury, Additional Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited was present at the closing session of the workshop as Chief Guest. Among others Mr. Md. Setaur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director of the Bank and the officials of Central Shariah Board were present. The inaugural and closing sessions of the workshop were presided over by Mr. AQM Safiullah Arif, Secretary General of Central Shariah Board.
