Energypac has recently inaugurated G-Gas Satellite Plant 101 through a virtual programme to meet the country’s increasing demand for LPG on March 28, 2022, in Rupganj, Narayanganj, at 11:30 am.

Dr Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, BB, Honourable Adviser to the Prime Minister, Power, Energy & Mineral Resources Affairs, Prime Ministers Office, Dhaka, was the honourable chief guest at the inauguration of G-Gas Satellite Plant 101.

At the event, Engineer Rabiul Alam, CIP, Chairman; Humayun Rashid, CIP, Managing Director & CEO; other members of the Board of Directors; Naweed Rashid, Chief Strategist; and Abu Sayed Raza, Chief Business Officer (G-Gas LPG) were present at the event.

Dr Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury said, “LPG is playing an important role in fuel diversification and I would like to thank Energypack and G-Gas for their contribution to this sector. He emphasised the need for joint ventures between the public and private sectors to ensure future energy security through the development of talent and research.

Regarding the inauguration, Humayun Rashid said, “Energypac is committed to decentralising capacity and ensuring the convenient and continuous supply of LPG to customers’ doorsteps through our most diversified distribution network.” Hence, we have just completed a virtual inauguration ceremony for G-Gas Satellite Plant 101 in Rupganj, Narayanganj. We are privileged to launch this plant in the month of independence. We hope that G-Gas will continue to meet the increasing demand for LPG in Bangladesh.

To meet the growing energy demand, LPG has become an integral part of our civic life and we realise that G-Gas started its operation at Khulna back in 2017. Following this, G-Gas has expanded its operations by setting up its satellite plant 101 in Rupganj to strengthen its distribution network, and G-Gas aims to diversify its distribution network more in the near future.

Also, G-Gas has its own LPG-carrying ship, “MT-G-GAS 101”, with a capacity of 600 MT to make LPG transportation even safer and faster.
