Both children and adults, locals and foreigners grazed their feet over the 1,000 tiles in monochromatic shades of turquoise to feel the texture in Sandeep Mukherjee’s installation “The Sky Remains,” at the Dhaka Art Summit. The piece, which also consists of 14 modular wall panels is meant for viewers to think of the country’s sky and surrounding delta tributaries. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will fund $1.5 billion for building a rail line that will connect Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh’s beach resort, to neighbouring Myanmar as part of a larger Trans-Asian Railway network.

Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in Bali and extended invitation to him to be the Keynote Speaker at Asia Pacific Business Forum(APBF) of UNESCAP to be hosted by ICC Bangladesh in Dhaka sometimes in November-December this year. It may be mentioned that earlier Mahbubur Rahman was honoured by the President of Indonesia as the “Presidential Friend of Indonesia” in 2012. The ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta in August 2012 at the celebration of the 67th Independence of Indonesia.
