IBBL distributes relief among flood victims
Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) has taken initiative to distribute relief worth Tk.50 million this year among the flood affected people of northern part and different districts of the country. Engr. Mustafa Anwar, Chairman of the Bank inaugurated the relief distribution at the Haripur Char of Sundarganj Upazilla under Gaibandha district on August 02, 2016, Tuesday. On the day, Bank distributed relief goods and cash among more than 1500 flood-hit people in Haripur Char and Kamarzani of Gaibandha and Uddamari of Kurigram district.

WB lends $ 10m for procurement data centre upgrade
Public procurement in Bangladesh is to be upgraded and expanded with an additional $10m in World Bank (WB) cash.
The loan, which brings the bank’s financing for its procurement project in Bangladesh to $68.1m, will be used to replace a data centre, where capacity is too low to keep pace with growing demand from public procurement bodies.
The bank said it will ensure the effective use of public money and increase transparency in the procurement system.

LG’s Bola Hoyni contest prize winners awarded
The prize giving ceremony for the Bola Hoyni campaign contest took place on Sunday July 24, 2016 at the LG Electronics Bangladesh head office in Gulshan-1, Dhaka. The prize went to three winners among 174 contestants of the campaign.
“Bola Hoyni” is a social media activation campaign launched by LG Electronics Bangladesh where the Facebook audiences were asked to share their untold stories of love that make their lives good. The campaign started on 9 June, 2016 and ended on 29 June, 2016.
