Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) has opened its 301
st Branch at Sonargaon Janapath Road, Uttata, Dhaka.
Annisul Huq, Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation inaugurated the branch as chief guest on Monday ( September 21, 2015). Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director of the Bank presided over the inaugural ceremony. Md. Mosharraf Hossain, Executive Vice President and Head of Dhaka North Zone of the Bank, Shahnaz Parveen Mitu, Councilor, Dhaka City Corporation among others addressed the ceremony. Local traders, professionals, ulemas, bank officials and social elites attended the inaugural ceremony.

Police have arrested a human trafficking “godfather” in a fresh crackdown on smugglers amid fears of a resumption of the racket that sparked a regional migrant crisis earlier this year, an officer said Thursday.
Police have arrested at least 20 traffickers in the past month including alleged kingpin Dil Mohammad on the weekend in the southern smuggling town of Teknaf bordering Myanmar, reports AFP.
