New IBBL Branch at Sonargaon Janapath Rd in city

Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) has opened its 301st Branch at Sonargaon Janapath Road, Uttata, Dhaka.

Annisul Huq, Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation inaugurated the branch as chief guest on Monday ( September 21, 2015). Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director of the Bank presided over the inaugural ceremony. Md. Mosharraf Hossain, Executive Vice President and Head of Dhaka North Zone of the Bank, Shahnaz Parveen Mitu, Councilor, Dhaka City Corporation among others addressed the ceremony. Local traders, professionals, ulemas, bank officials and social elites attended the inaugural ceremony.

Annisul Huq as chief guest said, Islami Bank has become the leading bank of the country by conducting its 32 years banking services with transparency, accountability and professionalism. Through diversified investment in financial activities the bank has been contributing in the development of the country. He, however, requested the Islami Bank to come forward to finance in beautification and development of mass transportation in Dhaka city. The city mayor called upon all to keep role in the economic progress of the country by taking services of Islami Bank.

Mohammad Abdul Mannan in his presidential speech said, Islami Bank has been playing role in economic development of the country through expansion of trade & commerce, industrialization, agriculture, entrepreneurship development, employment generation and infrastructure development in the light of its need based production and diversification investment policy. He said, the Bank has connected some 10 lakh marginal people of 20 thousands village with the mainstream economy of the country through Islamic microfinance under its Rural Development Scheme.
