Bangladeshi raped in India attempts suicide
A 34-year-old Bangladeshi woman, who was allegedly gangraped at a flat here a few months ago, attempted suicide today at a Womens’ Home, police said.
Police said that the woman tried to end her life by consuming a lotion used for cleaning floor.
The staff at the Women’s Home found her lying in a weak condition around noon and admitted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital here.
Hospital sources said she was out of danger now.

Law to regulate govt employees’ marriage with foreigners
The government proposed a bill in parliament that would regulate the nuptials of all public servants with foreigners, reports said in Dhaka on Thursday.
Local government minister Syed Ashraful Islam on Wednesday night proposed the bill titled Public Servants (Marriage with Foreign Nationals) Bill, 2015 that suggested the government employees must obtain presidential assent to marry or even agree to marry a foreign national.

RMB instead of US$ advised for Sino-BD trade transaction
Bankers from Bangladesh and China suggested introduction of transaction in RMB (Chinese Yuan) instead of US Dollar for International Trade between the two countries. This will help in reducing cost of production and price volatility due to changing exchange rates of US Dollar between Bangladesh and Chinese currencies. It will also save additional costs as this will involve two currencies instead of three.
This was suggested by the participants during a day-long Seminar on Bangladesh China Trade Finance : Role of Banks in Kunming, China last Friday ( 21 August). A total 45 senior
