The interim government has announced that the killings that occurred during the student-people movement in July and the first week of August will be tried at the International Crimes Tribunal. Additionally, the government has initiated an investigation into these incidents under the supervision of the United Nations.

Asif Nazrul, the advisor for law, judiciary, and parliamentary affairs, made this announcement during a press conference at the Secretariat on Wednesday. He stated that the trial for the killings that took place between July 1 and August 5 will be conducted at the International Crimes Tribunal.
Moreover, Nazrul mentioned that false and harassing cases filed in Dhaka in connection with the movement will be withdrawn by Thursday. He added that the remaining lawsuits will be resolved by August 31.
