United Airways to expand service on Dhk-Ctg route

The United Airways (BD) Limited has planned to introduce a Jet Aircraft, MD-83, in addition to its regular flights by ATR-72 aircraft on Dhaka-Chittagong route from Monday to attract more domestic passengers.

United-AirwaysThe 170-seat jet engine aircraft will shuttle between Dhaka and Chittagong once from Monday alongside its regular flights operated by the 66-seat ATR-72 aircraft. The airline charges Tk 3800 for one-way Dhaka-Chittagong trip and Tk 7000 for a round trip.

The aircraft (MD-83) will depart from Dhaka for Chittagong at 7:45 am and leave Chittagong for Dhaka at 4:00pm everyday from March 23, said a press release on Saturday.

The airline, the first ever public limited company in aviation sector of Bangladesh, is operating international flights from Dhaka to Jeddah, Dubai, Muscat, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Kathmandu and Kolkata and also from Chittagong to Kolkata.

It also operates flights to all major domestic destinations from Dhaka such as Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Sylhet, Jessore, Rajshahi and Saidpur.
