Southtech Limited on Saturday (Apr 25) held a daylong workshop to showcase its technological innovations and advancements in the field of microfinance.
Senior officials from Southtech Financial Solutions Division presented the new solutions to key members of Microfinance Regulatory Authority (MRA), PKSF, and PKSF funded partner organizations.
High officials of different NGOs, including Sajida Foundation, DISA, RDRS, Srizony Bangladesh, CODEC, and IDF were also present at the function at a hotel at Uttara in the capital.
The introductory session served as a platform to discuss the standard regulations and how Southtech accommodates them. Later, sessions were held on technology innovation showcasing Southtech Ascend Field Collect® – Android collection application and Ascend Horizon® – financial inclusion solution.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the introduction of Ascend Financials® – a new generation web-based microfinance management solution built on Java Technology stack that is platform independent. This is yet another step for Southtech Limited and its partners towards a new dimension of sophistication.
All these new technologies and innovations bear proof of Southtech Limited’s assurance to bring the right technology that can be supported by the communication infrastructure that continues to rely on relatively low bandwidth.
