Bangladesh is known for its artistic heritage and hospitality of the local people. Hospitality starts with social interaction and that’s when a warm cup of tea adds its charm. 2017 has already arrived and its first month is going to kick off with a three day tea expo starting from January 12 till 14 at the International Convention City Bashundhara, Hall-2 (Pushpogusso). A press conference was organized on December 18, 2016 at the Ministry of Commerce where Tofail Ahmed, MP, Commerce Minister, along with Major General Md. Shafeenul Islam, Chairman, Bangladesh Tea Board confirmed the three day tea expo. Entry for visitors will be free but pre-registration is required. The expo will have 30 pavilions and 16 stalls.
Bangladesh is popular as a festive country, starting from cricket to concert it has always welcomed such events with melodious theme song. The three day tea expo will be inaugurated with an overwhelming theme song which has been sung by Bappa Mazumdar, Fahmida Nabi, Parvez, Kona, Salma, Elita Karim, D Rockstar Shuvo and nine other Bangladeshi popular artists. The song has been composed by Partha Barua. The music video has already been viral in Facebook and YouTube. A video commercial has been made on the exhibition where heartthrob artist Nabila from the popular movie Aynabaji and actor Opurbo have taken part as central characters. It’s produced by Film maker Redoan Rony.
The enchanting festival will be hosted by Bangladeshi Tea Board and supported by City Group, Dancan Brothers Bangladesh Limited, Finley Tea, HRC, Ispahani and Seylon Tea. G-TV, The Daily Star, Radio Foorti and Dhaka Tribune will be promotional partners of the three day expo. Creato, the event management organization will be its management partner. Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Hon’ble Minister of Finance will preside over the event as the Chief Guest and Tofail Ahmed, MP, Minister of Commerce along with M.A. Mannan, MP and State Minister of Finance and Planning Division will be present as Special Guests.
The expo will continue from 10AM to 10PM.
